Pertemps are recruiting for experienced Mechanical Fitter on behalf of a equipment rental sector client 

Hours: 42.5 per week
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Hourly Rate - DOE - up to £15.83

In your role based at a local service centre, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of equipment within the inventory. Your tasks will include identifying and documenting machine damage, as well as maintaining detailed service and maintenance records.

Collaborating closely with colleagues, you'll demonstrate strong teamwork and a commitment to upholding high standards in the workplace. Effective communication is vital, ensuring that both your Line Manager and Customers are kept informed as necessary.

To excel in the role of Fitter, you should possess the following skills and attributes:

• Previous experience in maintaining Accommodation units
• Prior experience in working on portable site welfare unit generators
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues
• Flexibility and self-motivation, with a willingness to pursue new training opportunities, which may occasionally involve staying away from home
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to delivering excellent service
• Effective planning and organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
