Marble Talent Group LTD are currently representing a client located in The Midlands who is looking to add an experienced security engineer to their team. 

As a successful, full service security solutions business, our client are now looking to expand their team by recruiting an experienced Security Engineer, who will be responsible for supporting the growing number of commercial and residential clients they have, through the installation and servicing of a range of security systems.

This would be an exciting opportunity to join a privately owned and rapidly expanding organisation, with the role suiting a pro-active and self-motivated individual, who is confident working both within residential and commercial environments.

The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Operations for the business, as the Security Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• the installation and commissioning of multiple types of intruder alarm, CCTV and access control systems in accordance with required standards and codes of practice
• carrying out service, routine maintenance and where required repairs to our current and future alarm and security system installations
• ensuring systems are handed over in line with specification, including providing the necessary explanations and demonstrations to customers
• completing the required site reports and administrative tasks on a timely and comprehensive basis
• participating, on a rota basis, in our 24-hour emergency cover and callout service
• where required, supporting and mentoring other members of the team to further enhance and develop their knowledge, skills and experience
• undertake any relevant training and development as required
• providing excellent customer service in this customer facing role at all times

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Security Engineer role, will preferably be able to demonstrate that they have:

• previous experience of working within the security and/or fire industry, including experience of working within both commercial and residential premises
• at least 2 years previous work experience in the same or similar engineer type role
• a sound technical knowledge of security products, alarm systems (including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and remote monitoring)
• a good knowledge and understanding of current Health & Safety regulations, requirements and working practices
• excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• close attention to detail
• the ability to work as part of team but also under their own initiative
• excellent time and project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Previous experience of servicing fire alarms and emergency lighting would be useful but is not essential as would be any formal qualifications in connection with the profession.

A full UK driving licence is required and candidates for the Security Engineer role, should be aware that there will be travel on a regular basis with this role.

Candidates should also note that our engineers and employees are DBS checked prior to the commencement of their employment.

Salary and Package:

• Basic salary – c. £32,000 to £42,000 per annum depending on experience
