Bus Field Service Engineer Required to cover the West Sussex Area
  • Pay: £45k upwards + call out bonuses and overtime 
  • Hours: 40 Hours per week Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm 
We are currently working with a national Multi franchised Bus Dealership who have been trading for nearly 30 successful years and counting. This client has an excellent reputation in the passenger carrying sector and operate with over 6 different Bus brands. 

They are seeking an experienced PCV Field Service Engineer who has at least 5 years experience as a PSV / PCV / Bus Technician to join and support the work of their Aftersales support team doing preventative maintenance at our clients customers sites. This is a crucial role to the success of the business, as such, the rewards and benefits they offer set them apart from other Bus Workshops and Bus Dealerships in their local area.

Within this Bus Field Service Engineer Role some key requirements to be considered are: 
  • Live within the South of England - preferably from West Sussex / Surrey / Kent or South London
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical components of vehicles 
  • Ability to work under own initiative and work independently managing resources and time efficiently 
  • Work experience as a Technician within the PCV / HGV sector 
  • Full clean driving license - PSC preferable but not essential 
  • Qualified to NVQ / City & Guilds in vehicle maintenance and repair 
  • Full driving license with willingness to cover our clients market area 
We would love to hear from experienced Bus Engineers, Heavy Good Mechanics or Vehicle Technicians who want to be their own boss on the road and work for a rapidly expanding motor trade Bus Dealership. 

Within this Bus Field Service Engineer role your day to day duties will include but not limited too: 
  • Conduct thorough examinations and diagnostic assessments to pinpoint and address mechanical and electrical problems, such as axle and driveline issues.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections, regular maintenance checks, proactive measures, and repairs to guarantee vehicle dependability and compliance with roadworthiness standards.
  • Identify electrical faults, including troubleshooting CAN networks.
  • Skillfully diagnose malfunctions in HGV/PSV air systems.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Employ diagnostic tools and stay updated on emerging technologies within the field.
  • Maintain precise documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
