Graduate Engineer

Greenacre Environmental Systems Ltd are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join the business on a permanent basis, working out of our offices in Dewsbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent, or upcoming graduate, to work within an established engineering team, and learn how to utilise your existing knowledge in a practical environment. You’ll be entering into a growing business that will offer you continued development in your career path. We offer a wide ranging, varied role including practical, office based and customer facing role at times.

By working alongside our experienced engineers, you’ll learn how to:

  • Develop ventilation designs from concept through to installation.
  • Carry out the calculations necessary to allow duct and fan selection.
  • Review technical aspects of tender submissions and advise on specifications.
  • Produce drawings: P&IDs, General Arrangements, drawings for manufacture and as-built.
  • Update and review drawings.
  • Attend site visits and carry out inspections.
  • Assist with design documentation.
  • Have the opportunity to work towards specialist courses through BOHS.

What do you need?

  • Engineering Degree (or equivalent) – Mechanical or related subjects’
  • Computer literate – proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Most importantly must be willing/adaptable to working within an energetic reactive team environment, ability to think outside of the box and work within a close team environment.
  • Full UK Driving License.
