Production Engineer
We are looking for a Production Engineer to join a well-established South Bedfordshire based company that is focusing on development of products and systems within security, aerospace, nuclear and defence industries. As the Production Engineer you will be experienced in lean manufacturing techniques, design for manufacturing, liaising with a design team and be responsible for all the production engineering issues as well managing of a production cell and supply chain.
Production Engineer responsibilities:
Managing production processes, work along with a design team to provide easy manufacture from prototype to final product.
Producing work instructions, identifying, and implementing new trends in manufacturing technology as well as providing production related technical support.
Management of a small production cell, design of production jigs and tools.
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.
Production Engineer requirements:
Production Engineering background with experience in design for manufacturing and knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
Experience in management of a small production cell
Experience in determining IR reflow profiles
Experience in setting up and operating of flow soldering machine
Ability to program of SMT machine, fine pitch SMT
Implementation of ROHS compliant production
Purchasing/component sourcing experience as well as negotiating with suppliers.
Ability to provide production technical support.
SALARY: £40-45 Basic + Bens
LOCATION: South Bedfordshire (Commutable from Luton, Bedford, Hitchin, Dunstable, Milton Keynes, St. Albans, Stevenage, Aylesbury, Watford)
