Our Winsford based client are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their dedicated team. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. This role will involve conducting routine inspections, performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventive maintenance measures to optimise equipment performance and minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems and equipment to identify any issues or potential failures.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and part replacement, to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, such as equipment malfunctions or breakdowns, and implement timely and effective repairs.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and schedules to minimise unplanned downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and technicians, to address complex maintenance issues and optimise equipment performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts inventory, using a designated maintenance management system.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, motors
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing repairs.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance practices and techniques.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
