£25,000 - £30,000/annum pension, bonus, private medical, etc.

Permanent opportunity for an assembly, electronics or production technician to join a growing business that offers secure employment along with interesting and varied work. This role would also suit ex-armed forces personnel with experience of hands on technical/repair experience of electrical, electronic or avionic systems.

Variety: You will work on a range of different products for the specific industries the company supplies to.

Flexible working hours: You will work a 40-hour working week with flexible start and finish times (7:30am-9:30am start time and 4pm-6pm finish time).

Production Technician duties will be:

  • Assembling of products utilising both mechanical and electrical/electronic skills
  • Soldering of electronic components on occasion
  • Working to meet production and assembly targets in line with customer requirements.
  • Contributing to quality control processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participating in improvement activities including making suggestions of where processes and procedures could be improved.
  • Completing any required paperwork.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

What you will need:

  • Experience of assembling electromechanical products with good electrical and mechanical skills
  • IPC-610 training or certification is desirable.
  • To be willing to undergo (and be able to pass) UK security vetting.
  • Previous experience of working in the armed forces (army, navy, RAF, etc.) in a technical capacity is desirable.

What you will receive:

A salary of up to £30,000 (dependent on experience, possibly more for the right person) + pension, potential annual bonus, private medical, 25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays, etc.

The working hours

Standard working hours would be 8:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday (40 hour working week), but the company does offer some flexibility around start and finish times (7:30am-9:30am start time and 4pm-6pm finish times).
