Contek Recruitment are currently working with a long-standing precision engineering client, who are located in the Luton area. Our client produce machined components for a range of industries, including Motorsport, Medical, and Leisure.
Our client are now looking for a Production Manager to join the team, to oversee and manage the machine shop, on a full-time, permanent basis.
Pay: £45k per year (Open to negotiation dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day running of the machine shop, consisting of a team of up to 20 staff members.
- Quoting and estimating new and existing work.
- Planning the shop floor workload.
- Auditing suppliers.
- Managing new product implementation.
- Maintaining and developing customer and client relationships.
- Ensuring that 5s standards are maintained.
- Improving machining efficiency.
- Maintaining and improving production processes.
Requirements:
- Previous production management experience is preffered.
- Good people-management skills.
- Knowledge of machining practices, including milling and turning.
