We are delighted to be working with our Spalding based client who are looking to recruit a full time permanent Apprentice Engineering Technician to join their friendly established team. This is a great opportunity to join a small expanding, established local business on a full time permanent basis. Working Mon – Thurs 7.30am to 4pm and Friday 7.30am to 3pm.

As an Apprentice Engineering Technician, you will be expected to work in the workshop, and complete a three year day release Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering qualification / Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship with the college course commencing from September / October 2024.

In this role, you will be mainly workshop based and you will be involved with various duties as featured below, working alongside an experienced engineer. You will occasionally be required to attend on-site premises with strict supervision with your colleague / mentor.

• You will assist with the dismantling and inspection of equipment
• You will repair parts using various hand and machine tools
• You will clean and rebuild parts as required
• Writing inspection reports
• General workshop housekeeping duties

Requirements

To be considered for this Apprentice Engineering Technician role you will be required to attend the local college in Kings Lynn on day release for 3 years.

As part of the selection process and interview and assessments may be required. You must have GCSE grades C / 5 in Maths & English. You will also need to have your own transport to attend college and place of work.

Benefits

Salary will be dependent on age, Age 21 (or over) National Living Wage £11.44ph aged 18 to 20 £8.60ph and under 18 £6.40ph.
