Site Based Electrical Engineer

Up to £40k plus package



We’re working with a well-established family run packaging business based in Cambridgeshire who are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to add to their site-based engineering team. The company boast a state of the art working environment and modern on-site facilities.

The business are well established, being a market leader in their field, you will be responsible for the 9 machines they have on site at their premises alongside all general electrical maintenance required within the premises.


The Role

- Acting as the only electrical engineer within a 4 man engineering team, undertaking allocated tasks and performing them in a timely and professional manner
- Working in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment, troubleshooting electrical issues and optimising processes
- Proactively identifying and reporting faults and conducting any repairs as necessary
- Maintain communication internally with staff related to service levels and any associated production issues
-  Remain flexible with regards to work and tasks undertaken within your personal competency
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding smooth execution of projects and any maintenance related activities


The Person

- Qualified in Electrical Engineering (HND/City & Guilds/Degree Level)
- Demonstrate a strong background in electrical engineering – encompassing continual improvement processes, preventative maintenance techniques, and planning
- Understanding of 17th/18th edition wiring regulations
- Can read and understand circuitry and wiring schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform detailed root-cause analysis
- A hands on, people’s person who is a team player and a great attitude towards work

Salary & Benefits

Competitive salary up to £40,000 on offer for the right person for this role, based on experience.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
