Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a well-established dealer of a leading forklift product that are looking to bring on a new Workshop Manager to oversee the running of their workshop in the Salisbury/Southampton area. With a competitive basic salary, this is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to step up into a new role or an individual with experience of running a team within a closely related industry.


Responsibilities

· Running the day to day of the workshop and assisting with the on-boarding of new engineers

· Working closely with the rest of the team working out of the depot

· Maintaining forklift trucks and other Material Handling equipment as and when required

· Carrying out pre-delivery inspections of new forklifts

· Managing the parts department


Requirements

The company are ideally looking for an individual that has experience of supervising within the Material Handling industry. They would also be interested in speaking to candidates with similar experience from a closely related industry such as construction equipment, commercial vehicles, agriculture of automotive. Another option could be for an engineer within forklifts looking to step up. In terms of location, you will need to be based within commutable distance of the Salisbury/Southampton area.
