Position: Design Draughts person

Wentworth James Group has engaged with a key client and a World Leader in the Manufacture of Special Purpose Equipment delivering products to markets include producing equipment for automotive, aerospace and Surface Coatings Industries as well as educational/research, general manufacturing and military applications.

We are looking for an experienced, professional and confident individual to produce mechanical models and 2D drawings. The employee is to work under the directions of the Senior Technical Manager and Mechanical Engineer creating drawings, schematics, layouts and models for production, Sales purposes and development.

You should have previous experience as a CAD Engineer or CAD Technician or Design Daughtsperson/Draughtsman

• Good 3D modeling and 2D draughting skills required in AutoCAD & Inventor.
• Ability to interpret concepts and ideas from design / Production / Sales and realize them into working models and drawings.
• Possible resourcing of component parts.
• Assisting in the production of User Manuals by creating exploded parts lists for After Sales and Service.
• Assisting in the creation of shop floor work instructions schematics and exploded drawings as directed by the Production team and with their assistance.
• On a rare occasion creation of models with working animation to assist the Sales team in sales literature, presentations and exhibitions.
• Strong IT skills required as ownership of the design package and hardware will be responsibility of the employee.
• Excellent documentation skills and understanding and ability to work to design change procedures.
• Ability to work to own initiative as well as being a strong team player.
• Employee must show a willing can-do attitude to get the end objective done which may take him outside the job description as laid out above.
