Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist for our client based near south Woodham Ferrers on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be running the day or night shift and have a strong background in operation CNC machines. The ideal person will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and instruments. My client needs to have someone who has a good understanding of the principles of CNC machining and be able to manage a shift.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to job specifications (Tekcel / Mulitcam / Titan Fibre Laster / Press Brake / Enroute.
  • Read technical drawings to determine the correct setup and operation of the machines.
  • Perform quality checks on finished parts.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines.
  • Make adjustments to the machines as needed.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Strong technical background.
  • Previous experience managing a shift on either day or night.
  • Setting up CNC machines.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in CNC programming.

Working hours are Monday – Friday 8.00am-5:00pm. (Day) night shift is 5:00 – 04:00. (hours can fluctuate)

In return our client offers a competitive salary between £35,000 - £40,000 per year.
