Job Title: Buyer

Location: Basildon

Position: Permanent

Basic salary: £39,000

Hours: Mon-Thur (8.00am-5.00pm) and Fridays (7.30am-12.30pm) - 39hour week

Holidays: 33 days

Benefits: Death in service x2 of salary, pension

Overview:

With manufacturing facilities located across the UK and Europe we now require a Buyer to join the procurement team. You will be working closely with another member of the buying team, whilst working with other team members that will include the Estimating department, production and engineering related staff along with stores.

The ideal Buyer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:

- Previous experience working in a buying capacity within an engineering, technical and manufacturing environment.

- Must be competent managing suppliers, order and delivery chasing, making sure goods arrive on time, source suppliers for bespoke items when required

- Engineering/technically inclined mindset/background - desirable

- Strong communication and numeracy skills
