Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Executive required to join a renowned manufacturer of measuring equipment, metrology, engineering products, non-contact measuring / optical measuring equipment, gauging products, workshop tools, and hardness testers to End Users and via industrial distribution.
The Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer will cover Ireland and can be based anywhere in the Republic of Ireland. Any prior experience or knowledge of metrology, measurement / inspection equipment, precision tools, workholding, machine tools / accessories, machining products, cutting tools, engineering tools, or precision engineering products would be beneficial; however we’d consider candidates with knowledge of industrial distribution as well.

Role
Support the implementation of the Sales strategy
Selling measuring equipment, metrology, engineering products, non contact measuring / optical measuring equipment, gauging products, workshop tools, hardness testers to End Users and via industrial distribution
Manage and support an existing customer base
Working from remotely covering Ireland
Selling to and managing industrial distributor network and to End users
Selling into the precision engineering / manufacturing industry (including Aerospace, Automotive, Machine Tools, Machining, Defence, etc).
Manage own appointments with Buyers/Engineers of existing and prospective customers
Develop business relationships with certain Key accounts to maximise business
Identify and pursue new opportunities
Work alongside Specialists to develop technical customer quotations
Attend exhibitions
Liaise with various engineering departments
Requirements
Experience as an Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Executive or similar
A background in industrial distribution is essential, however knowledge of metrology sales, machine shop equipment, precision tools, workholding, machine tools / accessories, cutting tools, machining products, or similar would be beneficial
A mechanical engineering sales background will also be considered
A technical / engineering qualification would be advantageous
Must be based in the Republic of Ireland
