This is a crucial role, and seen as a key position, whilst we strive to continue to improve our working environment and productivity. Reporting directly to the Head of Technical and Head of Production, this a vital role.

Duties of CAD/CAM Engineer

• Using CAD/CAM software to create engineering drawings and programs
• Set and programme CNC Milling machines (MAZAK and XYZ)
• Utilising existing tooling and fixtures
• Prove and set programmes before handing over to production
• Create greater efficiencies within the library of existing drawings
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods
• Create digital information folders to help staff to use during the manufacturing process, including programme detail and fixture, Tooling detail
• Setting cycle time detail

Requirements for CAD/CAM Engineer:

• CADCAM experience 
• Ability to programme CADCAM machines
• To have the skills to programme CNC Milling machines
• To be able to develop and maintain digital documentation systems
• Must be able to read engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail, highly organised
