CAD Technician

 

We are currently partnering with a local employer who has an enviable reputation for design with the added benefit of manufacturing onsite. Our client offers a high-quality product and has a worldwide reputation for excellence. They work on projects all around the UK and have exported to over 140 countries throughout the company’s history. Our client, an engineering and manufacturing expert is now expanding and is looking for a CAD Technician to join their established team.

 

As a CAD Technician, you will support the busy drawing office and project teams, where your drawings will be used to manufacture the company's quality product.

 

Key Responsibilities as CAD Technician

 

  • You will prepare and lay out drawings for the project team.
  • Communicate and liaise with internal departments such as sales teams, engineering teams, in-house designers, and external clients where appropriate.
  • Advise and work with Project Managers on any changes or updates as the projects progress.
Experience as CAD Technician



  • Mathematically capable of applying trigonometry and checking calculations.
  • AutoCAD or similar 2D software
  • Have good commercial business acumen and awareness.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar position in the cladding industry
