Electronic Systems Engineer, Poole, £50,000pa

Purpose 

As an Electronic Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in helping to develop initial engineering and technology concepts and requirements into a safe and reliable system. You'll be confident in bridging the gap between theoretical models to practical applications.

To be considered for this position, you must be eligible for full Security Clearance, including ITAR and UK-caveated controlled information.

As an Electronic Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Contribute to early concept studies, investigating the application of emerging technologies in future projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders to define requirements for new systems.
  • Design and integrate new functionality into existing products.
  • Develop prototype ideas into concepts, communicating their value to the team. 
  • Review non-conformance reports and carry out root cause investigations and identify bugs and anomalies.
  • Reduce reliance on manual unit testing while developing your knowledge of automation.

The successful Electronic Systems Engineer will be able to demonstrate familiarity with:

  • Circuit design, schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout, prototype, test & debug
  • Embedded systems and programming (such as C, Python, VB, etc).
  • Product safety / FMECA / Fault Tree analysis.
  • Verification and validation.
  • Data capture, analysis and technical reporting & presentation.
  • Machine vision / video analysis.
  • Additive manufacturing / 3D printing.
