We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Services Manager to join a tier 1 facility management company. As the Technical Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the technical operations of our facilities. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of technical professionals responsible for the maintenance and operation of our facilities.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for the smooth functioning of technical services, including preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including facility managers, to identify and address technical challenges and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Manage the budget and resources allocated for technical services, optimising costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to evaluate the performance and condition of the facility's technical systems and equipment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in facility management and technology, and recommend improvements and innovations where applicable.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders and clients, addressing their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Extensive electrical qualifications from one of the following: (City & Guild, EAL, BTEC, HNA, HNC, ONC or degree in an electrical field) - any subsequent course will be accepted to replace the above.
  • Proven experience in technical services management, preferably in a facility management or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other technical infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of professionals.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • THE CANDIDATE MUST BE HVAP
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental sustainability practices.
