If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Manager at a leading educational institution. This role is pivotal in developing and managing preventative maintenance contracts and a statutory compliance programme.



Day to Day of the Role:

  • Develop and manage a scheduled maintenance programme, ensuring minimal disruption to the institution's functions and events.
  • Specify, procure, and manage maintenance services, acting as the main point of contact for contractors.
  • Maintain a master schedule of contracts, providing cost information and managing budgets.
  • Regularly meet with contractors to review and monitor performance, including financial management.
  • Manage reactive maintenance, responding to unplanned breakdowns and overseeing completion of issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislation changes, ensuring all maintenance activities comply with relevant standards.
  • Oversee in-house compliance Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes.
  • Lead on the migration of statutory maintenance assets into the CAFM system and manage statutory campus-wide surveys.
  • Provide specialist advice to support the development of policies and procedures.
  • Lead project teams, monitor budgets, and ensure projects support the operational needs of the institution.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in compliance management within a facilities or estates environment.
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and projects.
  • Knowledge of current legislation, British and European standards, and industry standards.
  • Experience with CAFM systems and asset management programmes.
  • Ability to provide specialist advice and contribute to policy development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
