The opportunity:

As an Electrical Fitter, you'll take on the crucial role of performing manufacturing and test tasks within the electrical department. Your responsibilities will include adhering to product certification procedures, maintaining defined workmanship standards, and meeting allocated budgets and timescales to achieve project objectives.

You will:

  • Possess a versatile skill base, enabling you to effectively perform various tasks within the manufacturing cycle.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with all equipment, tools, and measuring instruments relevant to the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure that manufacturing build times are consistently met to maintain project schedules.
  • Check and complete all necessary manufacturing data requirements to ensure accurate
  • Uphold the highest standards of workmanship and product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant procedures applicable to manufacturing operations.
  • Certify the product in accordance with the established product certification procedure.
  • Maintain product certification and approval through regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Prioritise maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Adhere to a good housekeeping policy to promote cleanliness and organisation in the work space.
  • Share best practices with other team members to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.


Here's what we're looking for from you:

  • Formal Technical Education: A formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship up to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 is essential for this role.
  • Further Education Certificate: A formal further education certificate to HNC level or equivalent is preferable.
  • Manual Handling Training: Ideally, you should have completed manual handling training to ensure safe handling of materials and equipment.
  • Lifting & Slinging Training: Preferably, you should have training in lifting and slinging techniques, including proficiency with overhead cranes.
  • Team Player: The successful candidate should be a team player, capable of demonstrating customer focus and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
  • Planning and Organising Skill: Proven planning and organising skills are crucial for this role to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: You should be flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing priorities and requirements in a dynamic work environment.

Due to the nature of our business, this particular vacancy requires the applicant as a minimum to be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship and capable of achieving the clearance levels mentioned above.
