MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Technician/Fitter, to work in the Cylinder Heads refurbishment department, of a leading business in the Power Generation sector.

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the repair and refurbishment of cylinder head and other engine components.

As the Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out repairs and refurbishment on a range of engine and auxiliary components, mainly focusing on cylinder heads
• Assisting with overhauls of large gas powered engines
• Maintaining the companies database in relation to all recondition and refurbishing work
• General work shop duties including stock control and supporting with deliveries
• Other duties as required
• Ensuring full site compliance with health & safety procedures
• Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• A technical qualification ideally level 2 and above
• P
• An understanding of technical/engineering environments
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
• Competent with all Microsoft packages and computer systems
