W Talent Manufacturing are supporting a leading manufacturing company based in Cheshire who are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Biased, Maintenance Engineer.

This Manufacturer has a focus on innovation and driving continuous improvement and is now seeking a new Maintenance Engineer to help improve on site services including Gas, Steam, Mechanical breakdowns and new installations.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Mechanical Biased, Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for the upkeep of all manufacturing equipment and site services across the manufacturing site.

You will be a Mechanical biased engineer, with the chance to develop and train within Electrical with the aim of becoming a multi-skilled engineer.  This position will be working Monday to Friday, days based at the manufacturing site in Cheshire, with flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will assist in new mechanical installations including commissioning of equipment related to onsite projects while carrying out planned maintenance routines.
• To carry out safety inspections of equipment including gas, steam and pipework to comply with the company health and safety policy.
• To ensure compliance with company and legislative health and safety policies, procedures, and standards always.
• To complete engineering breakdown reports and practice Good Manufacturing Practice with factory areas.
• Provide support and advice to engineers and department managers where appropriate.
• To participate in-house and external training courses as deemed relevant by the Company.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance routines and rectify defects where appropriate during planned maintenance or on immediate request.

Key Requirements:
