This associate electrical engineer role is to be part of a building services design team delivering innovative and creative solutions.  Project types range from science and research, advanced manufacturing, sport, education, defence, commercial and residential sectors.

Associate Electrical Engineer Responsibilities

  • To lead MEP engineering teams delivering a range of project work
  • Managing risk within MEP engineering projects; having good working knowledge of MEP scope/appointments and excellent commercial acumen
  • To act as the lead engineer in a design team being responsible for electrical building services concept and detailed design
  • Mentoring and developing junior engineers
  • Producing reports, drawings and specifications to suit various RIBA design stages
  • Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project
  • Liaising closely with other professionals
  • Attending a range of project group and technical meetings

Experience and Skills Required

  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to foster long term productive working relationships.
  • Significant experience within an electrical building services design role from either a consultant or contractor background.
  • Having an accredited relevant degree or higher educational qualification in an applicable discipline (HNC/HND)
  • To have achieved or working towards IEng or CEng status.
  • Excellent communication skills and willing to work as part of a close-knit team towards a shared goal.
