A new role has arisen for a Lead Engineer to join a manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire. This is a great opportunity for someone to join the business as a Lead Engineer, with the view to progressing into a Management role within the Engineering sector.

The hiring manager is looking for someone who is either Electrically biased and has Electrical Qualifications, or someone who has heavy Engineering experience and has experience with Pneumatics and Hydraulics.

As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for controlling all aspects of the Service Engineering team and will be working closely with the Technical & Operations Director.

You will be assigning jobs to the Service Engineers, as well as supervising the team, preparing quotations, liaising with customers, and visiting customer sites as and when required.

As a Lead Engineer, you will be required to:

• Oversee a team of field-based Engineers
• Prepare quotations
• Liaise with customers, and visit customer sites as and when required
• Work alongside the Technical & Operations Director
• Plan and carry out routine scheduled and preventative maintenance work.
