Role: Supply Chain Manager

Salary : £40,000- £48,000

Location: Southport

Role Overview: Join our dynamic Operations team as a Supply Chain Manager, where you will play a vital role in managing and coordinating activities that support our operations. As a pivotal team member, you will contribute collaboratively to our customer-centric and business-savvy approach, efficiently overseeing the Supplier Chain and maintaining optimal inventory levels. Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate Supply Chain and Purchasing activities, providing vital support to the Operations Manager
• Monitor and manage business inventory levels, optimizing stockturns and enhancing cash flow
• Skillfully negotiate contracts, seeking long-term agreements and ensuring a secure supply of items with extended lead times
• Generate KPIs demonstrating PPV performance, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and lead times
• Take charge of the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
• Cultivate positive relationships with suppliers and distributors
• Ensure customer satisfaction through timely deliveries
• Safeguard brand image and reliability
• Champion growth-friendly supply chain practices
• Train employees, emphasising safety guidelines and promoting a culture of excellence
• Propose solutions for process improvements
• Identify and address process bottlenecks in a timely manner
• Collaborate with finance, sales, and manufacturing teams to determine optimal vendors and distributors

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• CIPS qualification
• Expertise in managing inventory levels and measuring stockturns
• Strong commercial awareness and contract negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Capacity to challenge the norm and promote a culture of continuous improvement
