They are seeking a skilled and experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join the professional and friendly team. Your job as Legionella Risk Assessor you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing the risk of Legionella contamination in water systems.
Assessing various types of water systems, including cooling towers, hot and cold-water systems, and other water-based equipment, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
THE ROLE:
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
Evaluate the risk of Legionella growth and transmission by considering factors such as water temperature, system design, water quality, and maintenance practices
Conduct inspections of water systems at client sites to identify potential sources of Legionella contamination.
Collect water samples from different points within the water systems and send them to laboratories for Legionella analysis. Interpret test results and recommend appropriate actions based on findings.
Stay updated on the latest developments in Legionella risk assessment and management, attending relevant training and conferences.
Ensure that water systems comply with relevant local, national, and international regulations, guidelines, and industry standard
Your job will be to correctly prepare detailed reports outlining the findings of assessments, including risk levels, compliance status, and recommendations for risk mitigation.
Advise clients on implementing control measures to reduce or eliminate the risk of Legionella contamination. This may include cleaning and disinfection, temperature control, and maintenance of water systems.
For this position of Legionella Risk Assessor your working hours Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm, some flexibility due to onsite nature of role. Your working will be based around 50% on site and 50% off site. There is optional overtime should you wish to work this.
THE CANDIDATE:
Required:
Over 1 year as a Legionella Risk Assessor. With 2/3 years + in the water industry.
City & Guilds LRA courses preferable (domestic and cooling water)
HTM04 (healthcare premises) training preferable
Safety passport/ IOSHH etc preferable
