Position: Maintenance Controller

Our client, a global market leader in fleet management services, are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Controller to join their growing team.

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role, you will be ensuring costs are managed effectively, vehicle availability is maximized and customer are provided with exceptional service.

Other responsibilities include:

• Managing authorisation requests promptly and efficiently, validating work is necessary and correct pricing and labour times are applied and challenging vendors appropriately
• Engaging with customers appropriately in relation to authorisation activities and determining the most cost effective solutions, and ensuring customers are updated appropriately on work progress.
• Controlling downtime effectively, conducting quality work progression activity and updating systems clearly and accurately

Experience or Qualifications –

• Technical vehicle related qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent
• Detailed knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics, preferably extending to HGV or LCV vehicles
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel)
• Previous experience within a hands on workshop role would be beneficial
