Our Client is one of the UK’s leading pioneers in the race to develop and manufacture the latest Battery technology for industry, with an initial primary focus on supporting our ever growing Automotive manufacturing sector (but not exclusively!), ensuring that there will be a brighter and greener future for us all.

Working from state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the West Midlands, it is our pleasure to now be partnering our Client to help develop, build and nurture their team with only the very best talent!

As part of this growth, we are now actively seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to support the industry and develop the next generation of battery systems for Electric Vehicles and other applications.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:
  • Support for R&D cell assembly activities team.
  • Perform electrode preparation activities following standard operation procedures.
  • Adhere to company policies such as Health & Safety and Quality.
  • Maintenance of production equipment.
  • Assist with the internal movement of materials.
  • Maintain quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products.
  • Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures in line with 5S methodologies.
  • Exhibit a positive team-based attitude.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
  • You will have ideally served an Indentured Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical or Engineering and/or be qualified to ONC/HNC/HND Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical or Engineering, but plenty of relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Should be an experienced Manufacturing Technician who has worked within an Automotive / Precision Engineering, Tooling environment or an aligned manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrable experience within a role which requires building Mechanical or Electromechanical Components is needed.
  • Experience of Metallurgy, Electrochemistry, Powder handling, Chemical Plant or equivalent (Printing/Food Industries), or experience in Mixing / Coating / Calendering processes is advantageous.
  • You will ideally have some knowledge/experience of Maintenance in a High Speed/Precision Environment.
  • A strong eye for detail is key.
  • You will certainly have the ability to read Engineering Drawings.
