The Opportunity
An incredible opportunity has become available for a proven Chemical Process Operator to join our client’s dynamic team where you will be working on a daily basis to ensure high quality manufacturing output. As a Day Process Operator, you will play a crucial part in ensuring chemical processes run efficiently while adhering to highly regulated safety standards.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

  • Set up process equipment so that maintenance can be carried out safely.
  • Work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsible signatory to allow maintenance work to happen on the plant.
  • Area housekeeping.
  • Accurate recording of data and compilation of shift reports.
  • Inputting of any data to operate the process safely and productively.
  • Carry out all necessary ADR checks when loading/offloading a vehicle.
  • Responsible for tank to tank – Transfers & Blending.
  • Responsible for Ship off-loading (CNI & DBE)
  • Carry out IBC Decanting.
  • Manufacture blends comprising of multiple components.
  • Carry out sampling of blends ensuring representative sample is obtained.
  • Make decisions during the manufacturing process to ensure product quality meets the agreed specification.
  • Troubleshoot problems.

You will have the following experience and skills

  • Demonstrate the good principles of starting and stopping pumps, opening, and closing valves etc.
  • Be able to multitask.
  • Give the right attention to detail when handling hazardous chemicals.
  • Specify control measures to reduce risk.
  • Complete electronic logs and batch sheets
  • Ability to liaise with both internal and external customers.
  • Be able to work on different processes within department to fulfil business requirements.

It’s great if you also have the following

  • Technical certification or associate degree in chemical processing or related field.
  • Experience working on a Top Tier COMAH site.
