£40,000 - £45,000/annum

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join one of our clients’ team working on projects across the Northeast.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, servicing, repairing and maintaining various commercial gas systems and appliances in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

service, repair, and maintain commercial gas appliances, boilers, heating systems, and associated equipment.

Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues with gas systems promptly.

Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components or parts ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Carry out planned maintenance schedules to optimize the performance and longevity of gas systems.

Respond promptly to emergency callouts and breakdowns, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.

Complete relevant paperwork, including service reports, maintenance records, and compliance certificates accurately and promptly.

Keep abreast of industry developments, regulations, and best practices to ensure work is conducted in accordance with the latest standards.

Provide technical advice and guidance to clients and colleagues on gas-related matters.

Collaborate effectively with other members of the team and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality service to customers.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Requirements:

Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer or similar role.

Gas Safe registered with relevant commercial qualifications

Strong knowledge of commercial gas systems, appliances, and associated regulations (e.g., Gas Safety Regulations).

Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.

Good organizational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively and prioritize tasks.

Flexibility to work outside normal hours as required, including evenings and weekends for emergency callouts.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various client sites.
