Welder Fabricator

Location: Derbyshire

Salary: £16.45 per hour (Plus up to 5% pension, life assurance, onsite parking, discounted employee shop, shopping discounts, etc.)

Shift: Twilight, 5:00 pm – 1:00 am (Monday – Friday)

Our client is seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join their Engineering team at a large manufacturing site in Derbyshire. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will collaborate closely with the production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG welding and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Ability to work independently with or without drawings.
  • Follow verbal instructions to fabricate chutes/guides for production equipment.
  • Work on stainless and mild steel to maintain site and production machinery.
  • Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules and complete associated documentation.
  • Prioritize safety and participate in relevant safety training.
  • Support company hygiene policies to maintain hygiene and quality standards.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and instructions.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Welding (TIG or Stick) and Fabrication
  • Previous experience with stainless steel
  • Good general education: relevant welding or fabrication qualifications are advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify required materials.
  • Comfortable working in a clean environment with a focus on food safety
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High standards of workmanship
