What does the role involve?

EMBS Engineering is working in exclusive partnership with a rapidly growing, forward-thinking, innovative precision engineering company that specialises in the manufacture of complex, safety-critical components for a number of high profile industry sectors.
Supporting markets such as Aerospace, Nuclear, Sub Sea, Oil & Gas amongst others, this business, located on the outskirts of Nottinghamshire is experiencing considerable growth due to new projects and customer wins.

Following the successful birth of this new department, our client is looking for a Welder Fabricator or Pipefitter to join a skilled team of individuals in a state of the art facility who can build projects directly from technical drawings with a high degree of experience in Welding (TIG or FCAW), or Pipefitting.

You will be working to high standards, driving results and quality within the business.

Successful applicants must be capable of reading & interpreting drawings, WPS, Weld maps and performing welds to a very high standard with great attention to detail fabricating medium sized projects.

This is a very exciting opportunity to be involved in a well-established, reputable SME that supports some of the markets biggest customers. 
 
Responsibilities will include;

  • TIG or FCAW welding of exotic materials
  • Performing pipe to pipe and pipe to plate welds
  • Following welding procedure specifications and weld maps
  • Attending production meetings if required
  • Input and suggestions on continuous improvement of processes
  • Keep work area clean organised and tidy
  • Following company health and safety policies
  • What experience do you need?
  • Fabrication / Plating;
  • Fabrication and Plating of medium to heavy duty parts
  • Experience working on small to medium-sized parts within the Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Sub Sea or Power industries
  • Worked with exotic alloys including inconel, super duplex, duplex, carbon steel etc.
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Pipefitting experience would be advantageous

Who would the role suit?

This is a great opportunity for a Welder who is looking to utilize their skills and grow in a company that specializes in the manufacture of complex, detailed components for some of the most demanding industry sectors. 
We are looking for candidates who have worked as a TIG Welder,  Plater, Fabricator / Welder, Coded Welder, Class 1 Welder, Multi-Skilled Welder, Skilled Welder, Welder, Pipe Welder or a role of a similar nature where welding is a key part of your role.
Candidates coming from an Offshore, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Marine, Power, Sub Sea or Aerospace background would be ideal for this Welder position.
