Role: Maintenance Technician

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £31,250 (Including Shift Premium)

Hours: Double Days - 06:00am - 14:00pm Then 13:30pm - 21:00pm

Proactive are currently in search of multiple skilled Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to start work immediately in Chelmsford. This is an exciting opportunity working for a world leader in specialised components and subsystems for innovative solutions in medical, science, aerospace, defence and industrial applications.

What you'll be involved in:

Working as part of a great team, you will be required to provide technical support for all Equipment used in the production of company devices. Main activities in this role involve maintenance, calibration, and breakdowns. Another thing to note is that the Equipment will be based within a clean room environment.

It is a multi-disciplined role where you gain experience working with gases, chemicals, robotics, vacuum, electrical and electronics.

For the majority of your role, you will work with an Equipment engineering on shift, but occasionally you will be the focal point of contact for all issues arising whilst on shift.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance and calibration tasks to ensure test equipment meets specifications and functions correctly.
• Use company systems to ensure that all maintenance activities are logged, records kept items shipped and tracked for repair.
• Respond rapidly to equipment issues and working with others ensuring that a timely repair is carried out, and clear progress updates are provided.

What we're looking for in you:

We are looking for a technician with electro-mechanical experience and would welcome applications from those who have just recently passed an Engineering B-Tec qualification with an electronic bias.

• Experience in SAP Maintenance would be advantageous.
• Competent using Microsoft Excel and word -
• B-Tec qualification in engineering - Desirable
