Elevation Recruitment Group’s Technical Engineering division is currently working with a global, leading manufacturing business in their search for a Head of Technical in South Yorkshire. 

This role will play a pivotal part in shaping multiple divisions, and key business strategies for 2024 and beyond, as well as providing an influential platform in the senior leadership team.

The Head of Technical duties & responsibilities will include:

• Support the Group strategy and share knowledge and learnings for the technology roadmap, allocating technical resources to achieve outlined objectives 
• Drive and develop a wide range of technical and quality business functions including the development of highly qualified teams
• Ownership of site technical budget to support further development of site capabilities across 3 functions
• Utilise previous hands on technical experience from challenging manufacturing fields to steer the growth and direction of each division
• You will lead from the front, coach mentor and develop your team to be customer centric and deliver the best customer experience
• Active engagement and implementation of change management across the site.
• Support cross functional departments in delivering first class service; products and technical knowledge 

Elevation is keen to speak with people who have worked in a similar capacity if not the same level of operation before with demonstrable skills in the following areas: 

• Degree educated (desirable)
• Previous experience working within a Technical lead, Quality Lead, or similar function at strategic and senior leadership levels
• Experience within a highly regulated manufacturing environment (preferably material, metals, chemistry, heavy engineering and/or metallurgy)
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to share knowledge amongst your peers, coach mentor and develop your team 
• Self motivated with an analytical approach and ability to problem solve
