Salary – up to £40,000pa

We are supporting an engineering company in to recruit a degree qualified Design Engineer with a background in:
- Electrical Design
- Automation/Software
- Control Systems
- PLC coding
You will be responsible for the design and creation of production line equipment, research and analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing (CAM) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project
• Produce conceptual designs from process definitions
• To work in multi-discipline project teams on specific aspects of a project
• To be involved in the build, commissioning, test and trials of each element
• Working with electrical, control and software engineers to ensure correct interfacing between different aspects of a project
• Work as part of a team to deliver reports, specifications, performance, and detailed design solutions
• Ensure that the design and maintenance of building systems meet legislative and health and safety requirements
The ideal candidate will:
• Degree in Engineering field (Electrical/Mechanical)
• Have strong communication skills
• Show a keen interest in learning whilst on the job
• Good organisational skills
• Good general engineering / technical knowledge including the use of CAD/CAM/EDA Software
• Be a team player, able to work well with and influence others
• Have strong literacy, numeracy, and time management skills
• Be a competent PC user
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable
