Pertemps Burton are recruiting for a highways electrician for a brilliant client based in Burton.
They operate one of the largest streetlights contracting businesses in the UK, with a large presence in the Midlands.
As well as providing new installations for most of the UK’s housing developers, they also work for the majority of the local authorities in our area.
Electrician Duties
- Ensure the safe use and operation of tools, equipment and vehicles associated with the role.
- Working in a safe manner
- Complying with operational working practices, method statements and associated risk assessments.
- Taking full ownership for personal health and safety responsibilities and for those working around you or affected by your operations.
- Ensuring correct selection and use of company provided PPE and equipment as required by the relevant risk assessment and method statements relating to each work activity.
- Effectively plan, manage and execute the work provided to ensure completion with expected timescales and key deadlines.
- A demonstrable history of employment in fault diagnosis and rectification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Electrical qualification C & G 236 Parts 1 & 2 / 2330 Level 2 & 3
- CPCS Competent Operator Card (MEWP Boom) or equivalent.
- A current full driving licence to drive vehicles up to 7500Kg (C1)
- A current NRSWA qualification (Units 2 as minimum) or equivalent.
- Working in the Vicinity of DNO Equipment (G39/1) qualification.
- A good understanding of the Highways Lighting business.
- Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (Hours may require flexibility)
- £15.22-£16.00 per hour with annual increases
