Role Overview: My client  is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial projects ranging from £20k to £500k. The successful candidate will manage the electrical packages, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves a combination of office-based tasks and onsite supervision, with a focus on coordinating installations and ensuring compliance with regulations and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage commercial electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  2. Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to plan and execute project deliverables effectively.
  3. Conduct periodic onsite visits to oversee installations, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance to onsite personnel.
  4. Utilize a deep understanding of electrical installations to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
  5. Collaborate with design teams to review and approve electrical designs, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  6. Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, and change orders.
  7. Utilize basic computer skills, with a focus on Excel spreadsheets, to track project metrics and facilitate communication.
  8. Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in managing commercial electrical projects, with a focus on packages ranging from £20k to £500k.
  2. Knowledge of NICEIC regulations and experience working with NICEIC approved contractors is highly desirable.
  3. Strong understanding of electrical installations, including contractor design aspects, to ensure successful project delivery.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  5. Basic computer skills, particularly proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, to manage project documentation and reporting.
  6. Qualified supervisor experience in electrical installations is advantageous but not essential.
  7. Valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  8. Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary: £60k and above, depending on experience and qualifications.
