Are you an experienced Production Manager with a proven track record in people management? Do you have experience working within a manufacturing environment?

If so, then this is the role for you. We are looking for a proven Operations/Production Manager to join one of our clients based in Leeds.

The role is site based, so you’ll be working in a fast-paced, dynamic FMCG factory environment which produces a wide range of products. The group has multiple sites across the UK and this is their flagship factory.

As a Production Manager you will be accountable for the operational output within the factory and ensure KPIs, targets and business objectives are met.

You will be the go-to member of the production facility and will have support from the company’s directors. This role would be fantastic for a Production shift manager of a large organisation, who is wanting to step into a Senior Production Managers role.

You will lead and develop the operations team and drive both individual and departmental performances. You will focus on Leadership, management and continuous improvement of Production areas and colleagues working in them, resulting in meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

You will meet all requirements in terms of legislation & company policy, ensuring the safety of employees, equipment, infrastructure, and products.

Key responsibilities:

• Meeting all requirements in terms of legislation & company policy, ensuring the safety of employees, equipment, infrastructure and products.

• Being the lead for customer visits and audits, ensuring effective planning, co-ordination and delivery.

• Liaising with production, sales, planning and procurement teams and ensuring all health & safety and quality standards adherence.

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives within your zone and across the site, using your own initiative and with direction from the senior leadership team.

• Directing activities across key functional areas to ensure that the right priorities for the duration of the shift are focused on through effective resource utilisation.

• Ensuring consistency in the application of company policies and procedures.

Who we are looking to speak to:

• An experienced Section Manager or Team Leader who has managed teams in a similar production or manufacturing environment.

• Experience of continuous improvement in a production environment of implementing change through effective management.

• Proven people management skills in a diverse and demanding environment with the ability to lead and motivate the team.

• Excellent communicator at all levels with internal and external stakeholders.

• Excellent time management skills, analytical skills.

• Experience of coaching and developing and mentoring a team to ensure they are reaching their capabilities.
