Legacy Strategies are looking for a Senior Project Manager with considerable experience in Marine projects, to work with our client in the North East of Lincolnshire.

Full Time | Permanent | Site-Based

As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee and ensure the exceptional performance of  project packages. This pivotal role involves leading a multidisciplinary project team and coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). The successful candidate will offer both strategic leadership and day-to-day management, ensuring the seamless delivery of project components within set timelines and budgets.

Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with the Area Lead on strategy and execution for significant segments of the project, ensuring alignment with broader program goals.
  • Facilitate coordination among construction, design, procurement, and commercial teams, guaranteeing subcontractor activities align with the work schedule.
  • Manage Marine project timelines and budgets, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks and challenges.
  • Continuously update and refine project plans, ensuring they remain relevant and actionable.
  • Meet client expectations by delivering all required quality, assurance, and compliance documentation promptly.
  • Lead project delivery to satisfy all stakeholder expectations, effectively communicating strategies to the client, consultants, and contractors.
  • Champion and implement best practices, safety management, and continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.
  • Support the construction team by providing expertise in technical and engineering aspects, including method statements and quality control measures.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with all project stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent dialogue.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team committed to quality, safety, and efficiency.

Role Requirements:

  • Extensive experience managing projects within the marine construction sector.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in budget management and stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities across various project management disciplines.
  • Strong technical knowledge, particularly in Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations relevant to marine construction.
  • Leadership skills that inspire team performance and development.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and innovate in response to challenges.
  • Commitment to ethical, legal, and responsible conduct.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for managing key stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Professional certification (MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE) or local equivalent preferred.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (in project management, construction, or a related discipline) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Appropriate safety certification for the construction industry.
