Service Engineer

Salary up to £40k plus overtime OTE circa £48k, 25 days holiday, pension, career progression opportunities

Location - Swindon covering a 1 hour radius

We are looking to recruit a hydraulic service engineer to join a highly profitable expanding engineering company.

Position Overview: As a Hydraulics Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and maintenance services for hydraulic systems. Your expertise will ensure the optimal performance and reliability of hydraulic equipment, enabling clients to maximize productivity and efficiency in their operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
• Diagnose hydraulic problems using appropriate tools and techniques, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
• Install, and test new hydraulic equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Document service activities, including maintenance reports, repair records, and parts inventory.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in hydraulic systems.

Qualifications:

• Must have a recognised mechanical engineering qualification.
• Proven experience working with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
