A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a vibrant engineering company experiencing a period of significant growth.

The role may suit someone looking with a little industry experience looking for the next stage in their career. It offers excellent career prospects with opportunities to progress through Senior Engineer to Principal Engineer.

Alternatively, someone with additional relevant experience would find a great place to luse their skills and gain more.

The role is offered with a starting salary of £40K for a Junior / Gradute Engineer, up to £60K for someone witha  number of years experience

Unfortunately sponsorship is not available. You must have an unrestricted right to work in the UK.

On joining the company, you will be an important part of the engineering team working on significant projects as well as R&D programs. You will be working at a purpose-built technology hub with fantastic working conditions and facilities.

Your role will include:

  • The design and development of mechanical systems, components, and products such as fittings, and fixtures, power transfer systems, and ancillary equipment, considering factors such as functionality, safety, and manufacturability.
  • Conducting research and analysis to solve engineering problems and optimise designs.
  • The creation and review of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Performing simulations and tests to validate and optimise designs.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Strong core engineering skills and a willingness to be hands on.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering.
  • The ability to work from first principles.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software (ideally SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting ideas.
