Location:

Salary/Rate:
£65,000 - £85,000/annum Excellent company benefits

Our Client is an established building services engineering consultancy located in Leeds, facilitating innovative schemes throughout several market sectors. With a collective goal to provide cost effective, low carbon and sustainable buildings utilising the latest industry technology, they proudly deliver affordable and commercially smart buildings which promote energy efficiency and renewable products.

With a project portfolio of MEP schemes ranging from £500k up to £30m, they offer expertise and capacity to undertake design works from concept, through development, via delivery on site to completion and handover. Regular repeat custom includes strong alliances with major national contractors, end users and developers, presenting a diverse and challenging workload any Engineer would enjoy.

Succession planning is an important part of any business, facilitating the development of those already within the company, whilst also attracting new talent with important experience and fresh ideas. After the retirement of a founding member of the leadership team, 2 x Associate level positions have been created to assist with the smooth running of live projects and transition of responsibilities – 1 Mechanical bias and 1 Electrical bias.

Acting as lead Engineer for a diverse spectrum of schemes, mixed in size and complexity, the successful candidates will leave no stone unturned in their attempts to deliver the very best client facing service. With no micromanagement and a licence to push the boundaries, think outside the box and create long term mutually beneficial working partnerships, projects will be delivered in confidence to time and budget. The ideal candidate will likely be working at Principal or Associate level within a Consultancy, or alternatively Principal/Design Manager within an M&E Contractor, heavily seasoned in successfully designing and managing building services projects.

Applications are invited from hands-on, talented and commercially astute Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Design Engineers who understand the importance of doing things properly first time, providing accurate design work and within agreed timescales. Working knowledge of industry standard software such as Hevacomp and Amtech is essential, collaborating with other members of the team to ensure high quality of work. Whilst a Mechanical Engineer is naturally not expected to be an expert in electrical engineering, and vice versa, it is expected operating at this level that armed with a rounded knowledge of building services systems, this would allow the M&E Associate to represent the company at design meetings and take away queries related to both disciplines.

In return for your hard work and results you can expect to be well rewarded and compensated for your time, with significant career opportunities also available as the business undergoes a planned expansion.
