CAD Technician – DN3 – up to £40k DOE
Responsibilities of the CAD include:
Assisting the design office manager to produce high quality technical drawings, advising on previous best designs to copy and best methods to use for new designs. Managing Cad / Drawing standards, developing and maintaining bill of material (BOM) creation, publishing drawings etc. troubleshooting when necessary to ensure that products are delivered on time, on budget and to technical requirements.
Supporting the development of new machinery when needed and overseeing standard part design and documentation in conjunction with Design Office Manager.
The role of Cad Technician can be tailored to the experience of the successful candidate from a university leaver to an experienced technician, but the client will be looking for:
A good knowledge of engineering principles and methods
Experience from within the engineering sector, ideally mechanical handling equipment
Skilled using CAD (Inventor), 2D and 3D
Self-motivated and quick thinking with excellent communication skills

The client company designs, manufactures and installs manual handling equipment for businesses UK wide
Benefits include a negotiable salary of up to £40k (depending on skills, experience and knowledge)
Hours: 8am-5pm Monday to Thurs, finish at 4.30 on Fridays
Holidays: 20 plus stats increase to 25 plus stats over time
