The company provide automated materials handling solutions for warehousing operations across the UK & Europe. They are specialists in storage and retrieval, order forwarding, robotics, picking and sortation systems. They are looking for a Resident Engineer for their site in Middlewich.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to all health and Safety requirements.
• Adhere to the various quality and reporting systems. 
• To represent the company professionally and manage confidentiality of all times.
• Responsible for the care of all site tools and equipment (Company & Personal), reporting the loss or damage to the Manager.
• Engineers are to provide their own hand tools, damaged or worn tools will be replaced on a like-for-like basis
• Reset equipment errors, due to product, equipment, or operator error.
• To cover Engineering Assistant role if required.
• Carry out cleaning and hygiene tasks as required.
• Although the role is predominately working to a planned shift pattern, some flexibility to cover other shifts may be required and some at short notice.
• Communicate and provide information, both internally and externally in a clear and concise manner.  
• Support activities with the company equipment and systems in response to the customer’s requirements.
• Participate in team project activities.
• Follow escalation procedures.
• To attend all training courses offered by your manager and related to your responsibilities.

Education and Skills

Academic

• Engineering qualification to NVQ, B-Tec or C&G. HNC/ONC
• PC Skills – MS Office – CMMS (Computer Maintenance Systems)
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Organisational

• Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance background.
• Understanding of automation and control systems.
• Customer facing skills and good communicator.
• Experience of Continuous Improvement.
