Principal Electrical Design Engineer - North Oxfordshire - Salary up to £65,000 + Benefits - Ref 1583

I am currently recruiting for a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to work for a key client of mine based in North Oxfordshire. Salary up too £65,000 + Benefits.

The organisation are market leaders in their field across the globe and are developing innovative technology that is disrupting the industries that they operate within.

To support the growth of the business they now have the need to appoint a Principal Electrical Design Engineer on a permanent basis.

Initially in this role as a Principal Electrical Design Engineer you will play a crucial part in the development of the final product with your input on the specification of all individual components and factor in the associated cost guidelines in line with the specific project budget target. This will require you to lead the team and manage a number of active projects at any one time, all of which are at different stages and phases. This will include the build and testing of all harnesses across the business, you will need to utilise your expertise to ensure that all Electrical Architecture is produced to a world class standard.

Secondly you will be working on design outlines and/or modifications to all aspects of the Electrical architecture including CAN/LIN systems as required. You will also need to define and ensure completion of the testing procedures required for the project goals. This will include technical support to the team should there be any harness length, transition or pin out changes to ensure a smooth progression to vehicle test mock ups and trouble shoot any issues that arise. Furthermore, you will then report your findings to the team to ensure the final design and validation requirements are met within project timeline and budget.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience modelling harnesses on CAD
• Experience building harnesses by hand
• Produce supporting drawings for length, transition and pin outs.
• Testing and Development Experience
• Experience with EV and Motorsport applications
