An exciting opportunity has arisen for an assistant Engineer to join an established new build housing developer, based in Leicester.

You will be responsible for assisting the design and co-ordination of all infrastructure, substructure, and groundworks information to enable efficient and cost-effective construction of new housing schemes.

Reporting to the Head of Technical, you will be responsible for around 4 established live projects. As an Assistant Engineer, you will be partnered with a more senior member of the team to gain experience of the role and to help with more complex tasks that arise on your projects.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to HNC/Degree level or equivalent in a civil engineering or building-related discipline with some residential project experience.

Good communication skills and a desire to learn and grow are essential for the role. You must be a highly organised individual with good problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills and be able to work as part of a team in the technical office. You will ideally enjoy working in a fast paced, team environment and be able to respond quickly to technical queries and evolving project briefs. 

It would be beneficial for the ideal candidate to be conversant with current building regulations and CDM, alongside having a thorough knowledge of current EA/Water Authority/Highway regulations and adoption agreements.

In return you will receive a basic salary + a car allowance and company benefits.
