Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the delivery of several key projects to support the busy in-house engineering team.
The ideal candidate would have previous finance experience and understand the principles regarding double entry accounting, can undertake transaction reconciles and year end accruals. It would be advantageous if the candidate also has prior use of finance software and has experience of raising purchase orders, goods receipting, general ledger management and budget reporting.
You will need:
- Working in a commercial and customer focused way which achieves programmes, meets performance targets, generates and income for the engineering team and meets the council's corporate objectives.
- Undertaking assessment of quotations, valuations, and final accounts.
- Having an awareness of the Method of Measurement for Highway Works.
