Senior/Lead Javascript Engineer - FULLY REMOTE

Gathered and Found are excited to be partnered with a well funded start-up looking bridge the gap between mental health and gaming for young adults, and are looking for a Senior/Lead Javascript Engineer. This is fantastic opportunities to take part in a really meangful project that can have a huge impact on the lives of others. 

On a personal level, this offers an opportunity for those with strong opinions, but loosely held, to experiment with other engineers while scaling systems and designing and implementing new features.

The Role:

• You’ll be working directly alongside the CTO.
• Looking for someone ready to own really big projects for the engineering team.
• You’ll be developing across the whole stack (server-side, client-side & infrastructure).
• You’ll shape our engineering process and team.
• You’ll learn and contribute to the entire product life-cycle, allowing you to develop skills outside of engineering.
• You’ll gain a deep understanding of our members, our product, our business, and the roadmap that follows

The Stack:

• Typescript server & client side
• Backend: Node.js, NestJs, Hasura
• Frontend: NextJs, ReactJs
• Deploy & run on AWS: Fargate, Docker, Postgres, Redis, Github action

The role is for you if...

• You have 5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer
• Understand the tradeoffs between production-ready code and prototyping
• You take pride in writing clean and reusable code.
• Take ownership, and initiative and get the next feature to production rapidly
• You are eager to learn, research, and prototype new tech that could improve our process
• You understand that everything you are building is for our users and must support our mission
• You are comfortable reasoning, brainstorming, and explaining trade-offs with non-technical team members
• Optimally: previous experience working remotely efficiently with little oversight at a fast-paced technology startup
