Due to continued success and rapid growth, The West Group are looking for a full CNC Setter/Operator to join our team in Waterlooville. This is a shift role working late afternoons/evenings.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to and taking direction from the Manufacturing Manager, the CNC Setter/Operator will maintain an awareness of department objectives, targets and measurements, assisting in the delivery of those targets through the effective operation and setting of machinery to deliver the required manufacturing output to the highest possible quality.

The main purpose of the role is to support the department in the manufacture of components for prototyping, new product development and production/manufacturing orders and troubleshoot any issues that occur before, during or after machine runs.

What do you need?

As our successful CNC Setter/Operator, you will possess:

• Ability to use workshop machinery and tooling.
• Demonstrable CNC machining experience - sliding head desirable.
• Alkart and Esprit CAM system editing experience desirable.
• Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
• Personable, quick to learn, methodical thinker with strong verbal communication skills.
• Able to organise and complete work in accordance with departmental and company priorities.
• Component inspection experience - use of measuring equipment.
• Computer literate and able to read technical drawings.
